INTSOK Conference in Houston March 10th

Last week the response to XaitPorter at Sub Sea Tieback and the APMP conferences were wonderful. We are thrilled to follow up last week’s success with another action packed event. On Wednesday March 10th, in Houston, Texas, Xait will be attending the INTSOK Conference. This year’s keynote speaker will be Mr. Robert J. Withers, PhD, Team Manager in Enhanced Oil Recovery at Chevron Energy Technology Company, who will be followed by a discussion panel organized by Statoil.

Xait will be catching up with current clients and meeting new global partners who have common interests in both North America, Norway, and beyond. XaitPorter has been helping global companies collaborate to write proposals in real time for years and we look forward to seeing many good friends at INTSOK.

The CFOs that we have met so far, all have the problems that XaitPorter can fix for them. They need to produce documents faster and keep in control, they work on annual reports, private placements, offering memorandums etc.

Another interesting point, was the speech from the honorable Mr John Howard, the former prime minister of Australia. He touch on several of the issues that business faces today and gave a brief overview as to why Australia to a certain extent, has been “saved” from the Global Financial Crisis. His speech was without doubt the highlight of the first day at the CFO Summit.

Creating World Class Proposals with Xait

Haven’t the Winter Olympics been spectacular? The concept of teamwork is such a big part of the Olympics. Even when you watch the so called “individual” sports like downhill skiing, the winners spoke and time again speak of their teammates and coaches as being the key to their success. As Xait gears up for Sub Sea Tieback conference next week, I challenge everyone to think about how their team creates proposals and if you are doing everything you can to create world class proposals. Awards in predefined areas 2010 (APA 2010)

The Norwegian ministry of petroleum and energy has announced the APA 2010, comprising the predefined areas with blocks in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea (see http://npd.no/en/news/News/2010/APA-2010/).

The application deadline is 12:00 hrs on Wednesday 15 September 2010. The awards will be made at the turn of the year 2010/2011. Over the last years, XaitPorter has become the standard software tool for the licensing rounds in Norway. In APA 2009 about 90% of the winning applications was produced in XaitPorter. Xait has extensive experience in helping oil companies organize their license applications.

XaitPorter gains new client in the SOSS market

One of the world’s leading developers and Services Oriented Storage Solutions (SOSS) suppliers, which align business and IT in enterprise, midsize and small organizations –started using XaitPorter in 2010 for their proposals. Their challenge they are facing, is that their sales team spend too much time putting comprehensive proposals with tailored content and not enough time in the field. In addition, their proposal team and technical experts are located in different countries. They have chosen XaitPorter to overcome these challenges and to improve the content of their proposals.

Their initial feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

NAPE show in Houston a success

We had a great time at the NAPE Expo in Houston last week. We had so many people come by the Xait booth to check out XaitPorter. As usual, folks were just amazed how quickly XaitPorter can create professional looking documents! We had several people send their friends over to come see how Xait could help their proposal departments refine what they are currently doing. Thanks to all those who stopped by. Xait at NAPE Expo 2010 in Houston Feb 10-12

Xait will be attending the upcoming Offshore Technology Days Exhibition in Bergen

The event is hosted by the Offshore Media Group (OMG) and will take place in the Arenum Exhibition Center, Bergen on Wednesday 14th – 15th of October 2009.

Offshore Technology Days (OTD) started in 1999 with a seminar at AGR in Straume to which 7 companies were invited. Since then, OTD has become Norway’s second largest oil & energy industry exhibition after ONS in Stavanger. From 1999 to 2006, OTD was arranged in Straume outside Bergen. Offshore Media Group (OMG) took over responsibility for organising the event for AGR in 2005. The first exhibition organised by OMG in 2006 had 120 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors.

90% of the 20th Norwegian licensing round applications made with XaitPorter

The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE) in Norway has awarded new production licences in the 20th licensing round on the Norwegian shelf. 34 companies received offers to participate in 21 new production licences.

More than 90% of these companies used XaitPorter to create their license application documents.

ENI’s plan for development and operation (PDO) for the Goliat field

ENI has been given the green light for the development of Goliat in the Barents Sea. The announcement was made 6 May by the Norwegian Energy Minister Terje Riis-Johansen.

The Goliat project will be the first field development in the Barents Sea and ENI is estimated to invest about NOK 28 billion.

Hydro won the Farmand award for the best annual report

Hydro has won the Farmand award 2008 for the best annual report in Norway. The Farmand jury awarded the price to Hydro for its exceptionally depth and analytical presentation of information.
